Spot-Oceana High School
Stuff-Oceana is a pretty tight
school to skate. As you are driving towards the school, you will
see some tennis courts. There is a sick knee high bench good for
any grind. The tennis courts are also good for maual
contests with your friends. Right in front of the swimming pool
there is a sick 5 stair with a low handrail that anyone could
bust some crazy s**t on. Right next to the 5 stair, there is a 9
stair. It is pretty hard to hit it though. You have to turn from
the side and hit it. It is still definitely do-able though. On
the other side of the 5 stair, there is a ledge painted blue. A
good ledge for K-grinds and Nose and Tail slides. Back behind
the basketball gym there is a 7 stair. The thing is, you have to
get enough speed to clear it because it doesn't have much
runaway. To get enough speed you can find a piece of plywood
laying around (there is usually plenty of it) and set the wood
up on the stair set above the 7, and drop in. This will give u
plenty of speed. If you can't find any plywood, just quick snap
it. I've seen many people do it without the plywood, it is
definitely do-able. It is also loaded with four stairs that you
can practice getting technical on. I would recommend stopping at
this school if you wanna get your skate on. It is located on the
corner of Paloma Ave. and Oceana blvd. You NEVER EVER get kicked
out. Also, the school next to it has a couple of 6 and 5 stairs
and a low handrail, but its hard NOT to get kicked out. this
school is Good Sheppard.
