THE HELLA HELLA NOR-CAL SHOW 2005
Well we pulled it off!! The First annual CALISKATZ Hella Hella Nor-Cal Show went down on June 18,2005 at the Ripon Skatepark. This thing turned out to be a real fun time let me break it down for you. So the morning started out late we pulled up at about 10:00 AM and the park was full of people getting their warm up on. I sat back just to watch what was going down and it was obvious that this was not your ordinary contest. Registrations went down and we ended up getting 33 skaters that wanted to battle for the $1000.00. For the first round all 33 skaters took a 2 minute run to determine who would move on to the next round. Before the second round started Alton from Unity snapped his leg/ankle trying to ollie the 9 ft wall to flat. This is never what you want to see happen to somebody it sucked but Alton is a soldier and he will be shredding in no time. When all the runs were made we ended up with 17 skaters for the second round which suddenly changed into a "Texas Death Match" type format. Thanks to Wade Speyer.. It was on... 17 shredder's for 15 Minutes. Rodzilla announced each skater one by one until all 17 heads were in the bowl skating then the time began. It was insane I am surprised more people didn't get hurt. Steve Reeves and Sean Barclay were throwin it down all day long at one point they had the sickest doubles run going through the park. It was obvious these guys came here to take my money. Once all that insanity was done with we stripped it down to the top 6 skaters and they battled it out for another 5 Minutes. the top 6 skaters were:
1. Steven Reeves (Oregon)
2. Sean Barclay (Folsom)
3. Wes Cooper (Grass Valley)
4. Taylor Bingaham (Cameron Park)
5. Zach Lewis (Hayward)
6. Josh Crocket (Carmichael)

After this round we were still having a tough time deciding who should go home with my money so one more round went down for 3 Minutes. The final round would be head to head Steven Reeves and Sean Barclay. These guys both put in work at this contest. From 10AM when I rolled up to 6PM when it was all over Steven and Sean skated hard that whole time. Well the final round was over and we all came to the decision that Steven Reeves would be the winner of The First Annual Hella Hella Nor-Cal Show. The Top 3 ended up like this:
1. Steven Reeves (Oregon) $1000.00
2. Sean Barclay (Folsom) $250.00 + Product
3. Wes Cooper (Grass Valley) $50 + Product
Third Prize was donated straight out of RODZILLAS Pocket.....
That's keepin it really really real!!

It's official that next year The 2nd Annual Hella Hella Nor-Cal Show will be held at the Ripon Skatepark most likely in May or June. Thanks to everyone who came out to support us I really appreciate it.
