Once again the good
people over at NHS, home of Santa Cruz Skateboards have put together
another video. Cadillac Dan, E-Dizz, Zilla and myself got hooked up
with some V.I.P passes from my main homie Jaime and went down to
check out the new flick. Can you say FREE Beer! There was a
pre-party before the show began with some booze and what looked like
veggie platters. A ton of people showed up for the first showing and
after about an hour or so of drinking it was time to step into the
theater for the main attraction. Guarte was written and directed by
the Tilt Mode Army's very own Jesse Erickson. Jesse is the Team
manager for Santa Cruz and apparently has taking up some film work
also. Well anyhow the story line is great! It's cool to see someone
having fun with a skateboard video nice to see someone adding a
little more than just skate clips to music. I won't go into the
details of the story line you will have to watch it to get all that.
Look for the Jason Jesse Clip and Hosoi, Grosso Skit, funny stuff.
Wait there's more before we even get to the video. Santa Cruz
Skateboards made a couple large announcement regarding their team.
Alex Carolino is now on the team as well as Lee Smith. Check out
411VM Issue 64 for some sick footage of Alex. Congratulations!
Alright it's video time Damien Smith opens the video and at full
speed. I'm not sure what it is about just going full speed down
hills and street spots but it almost gets me more excited than
watching the newest flip trick to manual. That's the heart of
skateboarding just flowing down the street having fun. With that
said if you are into that kind of thing you are going to be psyched
on this video. Alex Moul, Stacey Lowery, Ron Whaley, Fraizer and
more put together respectable runs. The Tilt Mode Army makes an
appearance in a montage to none other the E-40! Nestor Judkins what
can I say KILLED IT. Emmanuel Guzman oh damn this guy just seems to
kill every spot all terrains Street, Vert, Bowls whatever he feels
like. Emman for sure had the crowd hyped with his part as he closes
the video and did a damn good job of that. Well that's about it I
did not make it to the after party instead we ended up at Jonny
Manak's parting for a while. Thanks to NHS and Jaime for hooking us
up with the V.I.P Treatment!
