RAGE
AGAINST THE MACHINE’S FINAL SHOWS CAPTURED ON CD/DVD
Live At The Grand Olympic Auditorium
CD to be
released on November 25
DVD to be released December 9th
On
September 12 and 13, 2000, Rage Against the Machine played two
shows at Los Angeles’ historic Grand Olympic Auditorium. Always
one of music’s most dynamic and passionate live acts, the shows
would turn out to be the band’s final performances together.
Fortunately, the concerts were documented and Epic Records is
proud to release the Live At The Grand Olympic Auditorium
CD/DVD. The package includes songs from all four of Rage’s
albums -- Rage Against the Machine (1992), Evil
Empire (1996), The Battle of Los Angeles (1999), and
their covers collection, Renegades (2000). Highlights
include “Bulls On Parade” “Killing In the Name” and “Freedom” as
well as versions of EPMD’s “I’m Housin’” and the MC5 classic
“Kick Out the Jams.” Included as a special bonus feature on the
DVD is footage from the band’s historic August 2000 performance
outside the Democratic National Convention at the Staples Center
in Los Angeles. Rage has sold more than 15 million albums
worldwide and established themselves as one of the most
important acts of the 90s. Live At The Grand Olympic
Auditorium is a testament to that legacy and should serve as
an influence for years to come. This CD and DVD are dedicated to
all of our fans whose belief and support inspired our music and
message throughout our career."
