Folsom / Citrus Heights Road Trip
So I bet
you guys wonder how we get all these skate parks on the site,
well this is how we do it we either go on day trips or weekend
trips and this week we went on a day trip to Folsom, Citrus
heights and Ripon. Friday morning Tony picked me up from my
house like at 6:30ish so we could get to Folsom pretty early.
Its about a 2 hour drive from San Jose. Tony was driving like he
usually does at 100mph so we were making pretty good time.
There’s nothing like driving for two hours and seeing your exit
coming up. We were only 2 exits from the Folsom exit and out of
now where we get pulled over by the Highway Patrol. The cop said
that he pulled us over cause a airplane overhead with a radar
caught us going 85 in a 65. That’s kind of hard to believe
because at some points we were actually going well over 85
anyways we finally get to the Folsom skatepark and it was fuckin
closed we got there around 10:00AM!! It doesn’t open until 3PM
WTF?? Anyways the park looked pretty sick some huge bowls the
deepest in Nor-Cal for sure. There was a city worker chillin by
the park and he unlocked the gates so we could check it out and
take some pictures. It's to bad for the lame rules cause this
park would be sick to skate. After Folsom we went to Del Taco
cause Tony loves greasy ass food’s that contain red meat
products. Me being new to the vegetarian world I was stressing
cause I couldn’t find any thing that didn’t have meat in it so I
ended up having bean tacos. It's like a tostada curled up if
your wondering. Tony made fun of me the whole way to Citrus
Heights for eating bean tacos. The second park we went to was
Citrus Heights it was a small park and it wasn’t that great.
It’s a cool park if you live in the area but I wouldn’t drive
more then 15 min to skate that place. Tony thought it was fun
but then again he thinks that McDonalds Playland is fun too. The
third park we went to was Ripon to meet up with this guy Brandon
Yamashita. Tony’s been telling me about this guy for a while and
how he kills it at the Ripon Skatepark but I didn’t think much
of it until I met him he is sick, he was flying around Ripon
like if he’s been skating that place for ten years. The way this
guy just floats over every single gap and hip shit "Crazy Style"
I don’t think he fell once! Alright I'll get off his nuts now.
Anyways Ripon was super fun. On the way back home we stopped at
the local Sonic Burger to see what all the hype was about it
looked pretty sick we just drove up in the parking lot and there
was a menu at every parking spot and they serve you in your car.
To make it even better some of the employees were wearing skates
and rollerblades I don’t think you could get any better then
that. Our waiter was a super nice guy like I don’t think he
could ever get mad he just had a smile nonstop. He came out with
no skates though so I asked him what up with your skates? Out of
no where he started talking about Tony Hawk Pro Skater the funny
thing is that we never said any thing about skateboarding. Check
out the video clip to see how it all went down pure comedy! On
the way back Tony was scared to go faster then the speed limit
cause he got a speeding ticket earlier so every body was
speeding past us like crazy. They were all kind of looking at us
like we were retarded. So we thought, how could we scare these
people?….What came next was pure savage behavior we started
showing people our muscles but I don’t think it worked cause we
are not that strong….
THE END -muff
